We’ve all done it…

We have a vision, we have a dream, as some guy said, and then we give up on it…

Somehow we decide it’s not that important. And it’s funny how much we can rationalise this act by the way.

No matter how important the dream seems to be when we have it, we will be much better at explaining why we didn’t follow it than actually doing something about it.

And you know what, it’s OK. We all do it at some point…

And there are ways to stop doing it. There are ways to stop stopping… Think about it. The first steps are easy to take. Getting started is not that hard. Most of the time, the problem is not that we don’t get started… We just stop…

That’s when you haven’t made discipline your best friend. Ultimately, that’s the big difference between players and dreamers. Players learn to love the discipline they put in place. Dreamers focus on what they’re sacrificing to get to the end result…

Here is the thing about discipline though… As tedious as it sounds, it sets you free. It’s what helps your ego evaporate because suddenly, your actions are not dependent on the mood of the day, but they’re the results of your discipline…
