Most small businesses fail within the first two years. It seems like building a business is this impossible task but it isn’t. Very often, people just make the mistake of forgetting that making money is about serving people…

In order for people to want to do business with you, they have to understand what you do. As a personal trainer, I always took for granted the fact that people would just know what I do. Most didn’t. I was living in my very own caged fitness world where everybody knew what personal training was.

Another mistake is to actually explain what to do in a way that blends in with everybody else. If that’s the case, people don’t know why they should hire you rather than someone else…

Finally, there are two mistakes that seem opposite but aren’t. The first one is to do business for money. The second one is to forget about the money. As contradictory as that may sound, it makes sense in the end.

If you do business for money, you forget the passion aspect. You forget the pleasure of doing what you do. You say you’ll be ready to do things you don’t enjoy, but that will only last a while and carry you so far.

On the other hand, if you choose to serve and don’t focus on paying yourself as well, you risk losing your drive and your passion. It is your right to receive payment in return for providing value. You cannot serve from an empty tank. I would go even further by saying that in order to serve people best, you need to be at your highest vibration, which means you have to ask a price that allows you to live comfortably.

My coach Mindie Kniss goes into even more details about why most businesses fail in her final video of the workshop series she created. If you’re interesting in becoming a coach and build a successful practice, I highly suggest you check out the video here.

Mindie has changed my life and I will be forever grateful for her. I would be encouraging people to sign up for Cor even if I had no affiliate link. However, since the link I just gave actually is an affiliate link, let me provide some value if you join through my link (which doesn’t change the price in any way for you). I will provide a coaching session for every month you are on Cor if you sign up through my link.

Tomorrow is the last day you can sign up for Cor, but if you sign up today, Mindie will give part of your money to a charity as well so you will have done a good deed for the world too.

I hope Cor can turn you into the thriving coach you deserve to be. If you’re not interested in being a coach, I hope the blog post gave you some value on being better at business.

Take care,

Anthony.
