I got back from shiny and beautiful Arizona last Tuesday.

I was both extremely sad and excited…

I was sad that it was the end of my Cor coaching course and HeartPath. Both were amazing experiences that have brought me tons on a personal and professional level.

Saying goodbye to everybody was really hard. On the other hand, I missed my wife and my girls so I was excited about seeing them again…

Then I came home Tuesday night and reality hit hard.

My little one is still ill so on top of the jet lag I’ve had to cope with reduced sleep and hearing her moan every 15 minutes…

And normally I can take it but after a week on your own, it’s hard to get used to it again.

That’s in those times that you’re supposed to see the blessings in all of this. Well, yesterday night, as she was still unwell, I failed to see the blessing.

And you know what, it’s OK. I can’t always be the extra patient parent who always has the right attitude.

Because sometimes you do get pissed off, until it passes. The key is simply to not linger in the angry and frustrated state…

And despite the lack of sleep, and everything that could get me frustrated today, I was still able to find things to be grateful for.

And it’s only because I’ve been practising this for the last 5 months so it does pay off.
